SSD's blog challenges

Playing catch up...

Last week Sarah challenged us to find a kit in the sweet shoppe that has some of the US colors in it... or some of the french colors, since they are the same! LOL I chose Ain't No Sunshine by Traci Reed. Definitely one of my favs kits, very fun, very bright, soft textures, and it has some blue and some red in it!! It's been on my wishlist for a long time, I'll have to buy it with my sweet rewards!!

Yesterday was Angela's turn. Her challenge was really easy: blog about my dream vacation spot... I'd say US east coast. I really really really want to see NY once (and, no, I'm not talking about it because I saw Sex And The City 2 days ago!) and I'd love to visit other cities around there as well: Boston, Washington DC. I've already been to LA, to Washington state, to Arizona and Texas, so I'd love to discover another part of the US.

New LOs, movie... well, I'm updating! LOL

My poor blog is barely born and I already forget it! I'm definitely the worst blogger ever!! LOL I've been pretty busy at work, exercising, housekeeping, all that stuff. Still found some time to scrap, though:

I did this for SSD’s Sweet Inspiration and TDC’s Sketch Challenge, using a sketch by Kresta,
Sun-drenched papers and elements by Victoria’s {Chirpi} Designs @ chirpi.co.uk, Andrea Burns' Color Pop & Black and White Photo Action @ TDC, swirls by Jessica Sprague (Companion Digital Kit), fonts are Post Human and Darcy Baldwin's DJB Chloé @ TDC.

For SSD's Inspiration 43, TDC's Scraplift challenge and Digi Dare 88.

Pfew, that's a lot of credits!! LOL

And last but not least:

I also found time to go to see "Sex and The City" with 3 girlfriends. That was just GREAT! I love every minute of the movie, I'm a huge fan of the show and that was like watching 5 episodes in a row... soooooo good! LOL

Happy birthday, Daddy!

My dad is 59 today! I don't care about being 29 in a few months, but the fact that my parents are 59 is quite something! I had kind of a shock yesterday when I created the card for my dad and had to think "Mmmm, how old is he, already... 59? No way!!!" LOL

Here's the card:

I used Victoria Greenlees' Treehouse papers and elements, a frame by Kimberly Giarrusso and the font is Darcy Baldwin's Write a Lot. I have to say I'm really proud of the numbers shadow work... pretty realistic, uh? LOL

I'm back!!

I had a 3 days course about time management in another town (Nancy, 2 hours from here). Very interesting, I learned a lot, many tips, but I'm not sure how much of them I'll be able to do in the normal life... Off to unpack!

A new LO

Here's my latest LO for SSD's Spin-A-Lift and TDC's Color Challenge. I scraplifted Shannon's Live LO.

I used Victoria Greenlees' It's the Weekend @ chirpi.co.uk, Darcy Baldwin's DJB Writes a Lot font @ TDC and Michelle Coleman's Stamped Alpha. I loved the way I cut out the alpha, I was inspired by a LO from Karen here.

BTW, it's not because I'm in her CT, but Victoria Greenlees is an ubertalented designer (and scrapper, but that's another story ;)) She's got fabulous kits, with great elements, gorgeous colors, very realistic textures... What else could ask a scrapper for?? LOL Go have a look at her store here, you'll definitely find your next must have! Oh, and if you have some summer pix to scrap, a little birdie told me you should come back on Wednesday! LOL

This is addictive!

Okay, it's 8:30 am, I should get ready to go to the dog education class, and here I am, uploading a slideshow on my blog. Seriously, this stuff is addictive! LOL

Since there's nothing like being accountable, here are the things I want/have to do today:
  • Dog education class DONE!
  • Buy cigarettes for DBF (unfortunately) DONE!
  • Buy bread DONE!
  • Exercise DONE!
  • Take pix for work DONE!
  • Declutter home office (at least 5 sessions of 15 minutes)
  • Start packing list for next week
  • Pampering time: give myself a manicure DONE!
Guess it's gonna be a busy day, uh? LOL

Another LO

I just finished a new LO for SSD's Paper 2 Digi challenge:

I was inspired by this LO from Puppet.

I used Heather Roselli's Birthday Bash, Color Pop and B&W photo action by Andrea Burns @ TDC, the journaling brush is from Designers Digitals and the fonts are LD Slanted and Lush.

My latest LO

Here's my latest LO that I just completed with "Imagine That", a collab by Misty Cato and Robin Carlton @ SSD. I love doing those monthly recaps, it's so nice to look at the 12 LOs at the end of the year and get reminded of all those events, small and big, good and bad!

The 2 little pix show the huuuuuuuge bump I got by hitting a wall. I'm so bad at 3D! LOL

I also used DJB Chloé, a font by Darcy Baldwin @ TDC, made using my own handwriting... How cool is this? LOL

I'm a blogger too!

Finally, after resisting for too long, I'm a blogger too. I had a blog here but the software wasn't really practical, so I'll give Blogger a try... We'll see!
