I LOVE summer! The warmth, the sun, the relaxed atmosphere, the vacation (next week... can't wait!), everything!!

Here are some 365 pix (yup, I'm playing catch up):

June 16th: dinner with friends, 1st meeting with Jacques

June 17th: goofing around

June 18th: I'm the worst cook ever!

June 19th: as every Friday, the cleaning lady was here... and it feels good!

June 20th: Music day, Amandine loves to dance (and she does it with her finger pointed, just like her dad... so funny!)

June 21st: I love the way our doggie look at my FIL, she adores him!

April goals and march review

Well, considering that we're halfway through april already, it's about time to review my march goals and plan my april ones, uh? LOL

My march goals were:
  • Celebrate Guy's birthday with our family and friends, on a budget (to avoid the stress that goes with over spending!) DONE, we just went to a nice restaurant with his family and stayed on track with our spendings.
  • Track my food for at least 20 days in the month NOT DONE!
  • Catch up on my work for the web site: calendar, news page, etc. HALF DONE
  • Track all our expenses DONE!
  • Wash dishes right after each meal ABOUT HALF DONE
The last weeks were terribly stressful and hectic, so I'm already pretty satisfied to see that some goals have been accomplished, that's more than what I thought and much more than what I could have expected considering the amount of work and stress I had to deal with!

Here are my goals for April (or rather the rest of it):
  • Prepare cards for all the april and may birthdays (and there are plenty of them in may, so I better be prepared!)
  • Workout every other day for the rest of the month, starting today
  • Catch up on pending to do's at work, especially the (huge) "to read" pile and the (also pretty big) "to file" pile
  • Create a budget
  • File the (gigantic) "to file" pile in my home office

A great site

It's Craft Critique's anniversary! If you don't know this site yet, go have a look, it's great! First of all, because it gives some fuel to your if-I-ever-win-the-lottery daydreaming, with all the newest and trendiest (is that a word? Whatever, you get the idea!) tools and gadgets you could ever think of. But most importantly because it's packed with terrific tips and creative ideas to use your good ol' tools and fabulous advices to pick your new favorite! Definitely a RSS-subscription worth one!

March goals and February debriefing

I just realize I didn't even posted my February goals... Here they were:

  • Find new techniques to reduce my stress (gratitude journal, meditation,...): NOT DONE I'm now not only stressed, I'm probably depressed as well... Yeeepeeeeeee. :(
  • Work out at least 30 minutes 5 times a week. DONE!
  • Get rid of all the pending to-do’s at work 80% DONE!
  • Start a budget: collect all our incomes. DONE! I actually started a budget but I need to have a much more precise idea of everything
  • Work on my evening and weekly routines NOT DONE
And here are my March goals:
  • Celebrate Guy's birthday with our family and friends, on a budget (to avoid the stress that goes with over spending!)
  • Track my food for at least 20 days in the month
  • Catch up on my work for the web site: calendar, news page, etc.
  • Track all our expenses
  • Wash dishes right after each meal
I hope I will be more successful this month. I have to, or I'll keep feeling like a big failure and I'm not sure how long I'll be able to stand it!

My favorite magazines

I usually get 3 magazines every month... I know, I know, I should get a subscription, it would be cheaper! LOL One of them is Biba, the second one is Glamour and the last one is Cosmopolitan. Glamour and Cosmo are quite similar, Biba is less "trendy" and has more articles about relationships and psychology, but I really like them all.

What's your favorite magazine? Why do you like it?

We are family...

A few of my family members are artists or involved in artistic activities.

First of all, my brother organized concerts and events. I'm really glad to see him motivated about getting involved in such a project. Of course, the fact that he can party and enjoy music that he loves for free helps a lot in his commitment, but still, it's good to see his energy directed to a productive goal! Here's their myspace: Eternal Songs.

Next, my cousin Nicolas is a painter. He started with graffiti and I really love his urban style, quite cartoonish sometimes but also very graphic and modern. He's getting recognized and that's great! Here's his website nkdm.com. Just the entrance page is gorgeous!!

Finally, I recently discovered that another cousin's girlfriend Arève is also a painter. She has a contemporary graphic style, with lots of bright colors... I love it! Have a look on her site.

There you go, some inspirational materials for today!

Enjoying the Project 365

It's fun! I never thought I'd like to take photos every single day, but so far, I enjoy it! Okay, okay, I know, it's only been 5 days, but still! LOL I was even brave enough to take pix at work despite my collegues laughing at me photographing my desk and through my window! LOL

I'm back at work and back at losing weight too! I'm at my highest weight I've ever been... Or I should rather say that I was last week: I lost 200g (0.5 lbs). I'm glad to see the scale moving in the right direction, but I'm still in shock: I gained 22 lbs (10 kg) over the last 5 months... How is it possible??? If anyone knows what's going on in my body, I'd love to know!

A very inspiring site

As I want to post more on my blog(s) but can't seem to find the time during the week to do so, I've decided to prepare my posts on weekends and let Blogger do the work for me! LOL

On Mondays I plan to post some personal things... either a LO I created, something that makes me happy or inspires me... I've entitled this category of posts My Mondays... yeah, so original, I know!! LOL

Today I'd like to share a fabulous site, very inspiring: Amy Atlas Events. Check out their Eye Candy page, they have absolutely gorgeous stuff! I especially like the Candy Shop Dessert Table (starting pic #22): so colorful and fun, plus I love the retro candies!

Have a nice day, everyone!!
